You Don’t Need to have an Existential Crisis
Two things to keep you going no matter what
If there is anything I have learned in the last two years, its this one true fact:
When you know who you are and what is most important to you, nothing will shake you to the point of crisis.
That sounds crazy, but I am positive it is true.
So many people are chasing career goals, accolades, money, fame, and fortune. Yet, when they hit a wall, and the always do, they start questioning their entire life.
One or two years after college, I learned that I needed to really understand my identity and my priorities.
- Who am I?
- What is most important to me?
These questions have governed so much of my life since that time. And I am thankful for them.
You see, I understand who I am. So no amount of outside input or internal dialogue can shake that. My identity is a firm foundation in my life.
Knowing what is most important to me guides my decisions, goals, dreams, and actions. Because of this, I don’t have regrets or look back at things wishing they were different.
