Yes, if you use your work word for word from Medium for example, they will flag it and unlist the book.

That's one of the reasons you go through and remove all the Medium specific content. Also, when you write a book, you should have transitions between sections and chapters.

Most of the time after your initial changes and editing their are enough changes made to the book content that it is actually quite different from the articles.

At least, that has been my experience.
