Why Small Publications Are Important For Growing A Following

They might be small, but they have a lot of benefits

More people need to read what is found in smaller publications.

I am convinced that these little pubs have a large amount of gold they are sitting on, but because of their size, readers are missing out on it. Sure, the big pubs have a lot of great writers and have established their ‘authority.’

But the smaller pubs have writers with creative ideas who are figuring out their voice, tone, and message. Along the way, these smaller pubs have the opportunity to grow and so do the writers with them.

Smaller publications are the first stop for a mutually beneficial relationship with other writers and readers.

This is why I think it is important to be writing for smaller publications. If more writers, big followings and small, wrote for these smaller pubs there would be a lot of growth for…
