The Christian church has finally caught up to the information age and it has not been pretty.

We have seen the church dive deep into many things throughout the centuries that have hurt people all around the world throughout time. You name it, the church has probably done it in the name of God. We still see this happening in today’s world too.

While we have tons and tons of information at our fingertips thanks to smartphones and the internet, the church allows itself to be fooled into the many different stories, theories, and falsehoods the world has to offer.

The problem is that it isn’t only the church, the rest of society falls into these same things.

It just so happens that the church has this unusual ability to sensationalize it. Sometimes because of false prophets, other times because they lose their identity in Jesus for an identity in (name your favorite political candidate).

If there is nothing else we can learn from 2020, it is how the church, and culture as a whole, can be so easily manipulated.
