Friendship is something we could learn to cultivate more in our lives today. With social media and the demands of our everyday lives, it can be difficult to foster strong bonds of friendship.

These bonds are important for us to grow into the people we weren’t meant to be from the beginning.

And one of the greatest examples of this is from the story of David and Jonathan.

Two men, who grew strong bonds of friendship. And men who are a prime example for us to learn from today.

“As soon as he had finished speaking to Saul, the soul of Jonathan was knit to the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul. And Saul took him that day and would not let him return to his father’s house. Then Jonathan made a covenant with David, because he loved him as his own soul. And Jonathan stripped himself of the robe that was on him and gave it to David, and his armor, and even his sword and his bow and his belt.
