What Happens When God Let’s Tragedy Strike?
How do we respond to the loss of a child?
My wife miscarried a couple of weeks ago.
We were excited about this baby. We had found out that the baby was a boy, he would have been our first son. On the day we found out, we picked up a couple of cute little boy outfits.
As we prepared to welcome a son into the world we started thinking of all the new things we would experience. Especially since we have three daughters already. The excitement was running throughout our house. We had a name picked out too. And I couldn’t wait to hold my son in my arms.
But then, the unthinkable happened.
Miscarriage
My wife began to bleed some. Not a lot, but enough to make us worried. She also felt different. Normally she is super sick with pregnancy and had been feeling that way at first too. But one morning, she woke up and felt nothing.
We called the doctor's office and they had us in for blood tests and ultrasounds. They wanted to make sure things were progressing or confirm if something wasn’t going right.
