10 Things You Can Do While Waiting on a Story to Be Published with a Publication

So, typically I like to publish stories in the morning. But tonight, I thought I’d go rogue and write one at 8pm. I’m going even further of the tracks and I’m not even going to publish with a publication!

After all, I’m waiting on those publications to publish my stories.

Three of them, all queued up, ready to go. So, for now, I’ll rough cut a story for my humor and the other ten people who might see this tonight around the world.

I’ve been thinking it all day, what are some things I could do while waiting for stories to go live.

With a lot of unnecessary consideration, here are the ten things we can do while we wait on Medium Publications.

  1. Write off the wall, rough cut stories for the fun of it. And to keep my streak of one-story-a-day alive.
  2. Check my Medium stats to see one more view or one more single clap 👏🏻 friend.
  3. Check for comments from the editors because I failed to meet submission guidelines again.
  4. Read as many stories as you can while clapping, highlighting, and responding wildly. I don’t do it wildly, I try and bring something to the convo.
