Totally agree on all points.
We cut cable after our first year of marriage.
Cut my companies health insurance this year (kept raising costs plus inflation made me earn less money the last two years).
We buy nearly all our furniture second hand (if it lasts long enough to sell it can’t be too bad).
Our house we bought before our area went through the roof, but it was built in 1906 with various remodels since.
With what we are saving by doing things different, we live off my income alone for five of us, are able to go on family trips, and we can invest in assets to help us continue to stay ahead of inflation.
And a lot of people think we are the crazy ones.
