There are so many options for personal planners these days. Not only are there paper/analog planners, but we have app after app after app for our smartphones that can be a planner for us. We have programs on our computers that run our calendars, tasks, and email.

What are we actually looking for in a planner?

Are we simply want calendars, there are simple calendar planners at the grocery store. If we want task management with calendars, we can use Outlook on our computers or Google Calendar and Tasks.
