I will proclaim the Lord’s decree: He said to me, “You are my son; today I have become your father. Ask me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession. — Psalms 2:7–8

Not everyone has grown up with a good dad.

Yet, we are given the opportunity to be adopted into a family where there is a father who is the ultimate father.

Psalm 2 reminds us that there is a father who is the complete picture of fatherhood in our lives. Whether we have had a good dad or not, he is the loving father that would give us the nations if only we ask.

Today, I want to encourage you to meditate on Psalm 2:7–8.

Who us God to you if he were the father you were missing? How did your earthly father show glimpses of the goodness of God? Thank God for being the father you need.
