But you, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high. I call out to the Lord, and he answers me from his holy mountain. I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the Lord sustains me. — Psalm 3:3–5

We live in a time when we have more information available to us than ever before. And with all the information, it seems to be overloading our souls with stress, anxiety, and worry.

Yet, God sees us. When we call out for help, he reaches down to lift our heads, and sustains us.

While the world and all it’s information can impact our emotions and mental health, God can step in, connect with our spirits, and bring peace to sustain us.

Mediate on Psalm 3:3–5 today.

What does it look like for God to lift your head? What does it look like for him to be a shield around you? How does he sustain you?
