I love the way Jesus is portrayed in the series, The Chosen. The way they develop him in the series brings this relatability and an understanding of his intimacy with God and his disciples.

It has been very refreshing and challenging for me to deepen my faith and my relationship with God. Not that I make the actor my personal Jesus, but that it encourages me to think of how might Jesus respond to the circumstances of my life.

In my continual focus to go deeper in my relationship with God and experience Jesus in my life, I have been pointed to Psalm 139. In fact, this Psalm continually gets referenced by so many different sources that I knew it was time to dig into it a little more.

Today, I wanted to share what I am learning about this Psalm and how I relate to God. Because I think it will be helpful and encouraging to you too.

Background on Psalm 139

This is a Psalm of King David. David was the King of Israel. He was a shepherd boy who was anointed to be the next king. He defeated a giant and was welcomed into the courts of the previous king. Later he would be an outlaw until the time he was to take the thrown.
