Pilate asked Jesus, “Are you the king of the Jews?” Jesus replied, “You have said it.” Then the leading priests kept accusing him of many crimes, and Pilate asked him, “Aren’t you going to answer them? What about all these charges they are bringing against you?” But Jesus said nothing, much to Pilate’s surprise.
— Mark 15:2–3

In college, I was part of a fraternity. Before I knew Jesus, I had this goal to see it become like the movie Animal House. It was my goal that it would bring the old frat house party culture back to our campus.

In the pursuit of this goal, we had a huge party one night in our frat. It was everything that I had dreamed it could be. The stories of the party were spreading across campus.

They also made there way to our fraternity’s general headquarters which caused a stir. In a matter of hours, I went from seeing a dream of our house being a huge party and talk of campus to being on the cusp of shutting down.

While on the phone with our general headquarters I was given an out. I could take responsibility for what we did and do one of two things. First, I could admit it and stand with our decision and get shut down.
