Now, I have been working from home for months. And I have had different jobs through the years that have allowed me to work from home on and off. With this varying experience, I can tell you what the one thing is you need to succeed working from home.

Before we dig into it though, you need to understand something. There are a lot of factors that will impact your work from home experience. Whether they are with you, your company, your job, or your home you will need to prepare yourself.

First, you will want to make sure you understand the benefits of working from home. They are numerous, but there are a few that will really matter to you.

Second, you will need to have a foundation set for your work. If you don’t have a plan in place before starting to work from home, you will struggle.

Third, you will need to buy-in from your family. This means they will need to acknowledge the reality that you are WORKING from home. Not just home to get nothing done, but chores and doing everyday things.
