Take Control of Chaos before it Takes Control of You

A Morning Realization

I was going to take a picture of our living room and den this morning to share with you where these words are coming from. But I thought it best to describe instead of show.

Our den, is typically the holding ground for all projects in our household. Whether it is for my daughter’s art, my wife’s decorating, or my writing. It is normally a mess.

Then there is our living room. I would say this is the most clean room in our house, usually. But not today.

Today, our living room is strewn with Christmas decorations and toys. Yes, that’s right, Christmas decorations.

The den has decorations, toys, crayons, colored markers, and paper thrown about the room. Literally, this stuff is all over the place.

The chaos that we left the house in last night was crippling this morning.

So much so, that I sat at our kitchen island, also cluttered with art projects, and drank my coffee reading Medium stories most of the morning trying to forget this was all here.

But we cannot ignore chaos in our lives…
