Stop Taking Your Damn Stories Down!

I have a pet peeve as an editor of my personal publication, The Dad Hammer Pub. For some, it’s not a big deal. Yet, to me, it drives me up the wall. Want to know what it is?

Removing your stories from the pub or from Medium altogether after I have published them.

Here is what I think of this:

1. If you don’t want it online, don’t submit it.
2. If it’s not performing as well as you wanted, too damn bad.
3. If you think it will do better somewhere else, start with your own promotion.

I have had too many stories all of a sudden go missing after publishing them. This is frustrating because I share these on other channels that I know people are following the links. When a link is bad, it makes the pub look bad.

Stop it.

Otherwise, I will remove you from my pub.
