I’ve been a parent for nine years now.

It’s not a long time, but its long enough to know that I need strength, encouragement, and words of wisdom from the Lord to be a better parent.

Most of all, I want to help my kids grow into the people God created them to be and so I want to meditate on the Word of God for wisdom and understanding.

Today, I wanted to share with you a few passages of scripture you a mediate on for your parenting endeavors.

Proverbs 22:6

“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”

Ephesians 6:4

“Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.”

Colossians 3:20–21

“Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord. Fathers, do not embitter your children, or they will become discouraged.”

Deuteronomy 6:6–7
