Made His Home Among Us
John 1:14
So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son. — John 1:14 (NLT)
Jesus came to live here on earth, as a human, show us unfailing love and faithfulness and for us to experience the glory of God.
He didn’t come to tell us how to choose our politics, or for us to judge people, or even to tell us to force our religion on people. He came to show unfailing love and God’s glory.
When was the last time the church received that title for doing these things?
This morning, as we prepare for Christmas and the celebration of Jesus coming to earth, I feel particularly challenged to bring out the fact that God had unfailing love, for ALL people, and He wanted to show the glory of God to everyone.
Likewise, I believe we are called to live this out as well. If we are to become more like Jesus, then it is reasonable to believe that He is calling us to do these things as well.
First, let’s talk about these two specific things.
