Listening to Our Dreams

Matthew 1: When God speaks to us in our dreams we need to listen.

This has only happened a few times in my life. I had a dream that changed everything for me. It was a dream which was so penetrating to my soul that I could not ignore it. It was also impactful to me because of how vivid and emotion-filled it felt.

This dream, I clearly remembered, and it had a call to action in the end.

This call to action was disturbing too. I knew that I had to take action, otherwise, I would be throwing my life away. And when I asked God about it, his answer removed any doubt from my mind for what I had to do.

God works in His people this way.

He gives us dreams. We don’t always know what to do with them. But sometimes, they are clear calls to action. This is what happens when the Kingdom of God opens up to us.

But, we aren’t alone in this reality. Dreams have been happening in the Bible for centuries, and in the Gospel of Matthew, we see one such example.
