John 9: The Blind See

Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, and when he found him, he said, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?”

“Who is he, sir?” the man asked. “Tell me so that I may believe in him.”

Jesus said, “You have now seen him; in fact, he is the one speaking with you.”

Then the man said, “Lord, I believe,” and he worshiped him.

Jesus said, “For judgment I have come into this world, so that the blind will see and those who see will become blind.” — John 9:35–39

There have been times in my life where I have seen the world differently. Almost as if I stepped through a door into a new world and the rest of my life was in fact different. These times have come in a spiritual, faith-based sense. And in major life events.

Working my way backward from today, there have been moments like buying the property of our dreams. The days my children have been born, my wedding day, meeting my wife, working in a fulfilling job, etc.

The list goes on and on.

And there have been moments in my faith which have opened my eyes to God’s Kingdom in new ways. There are typical ones, accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior and being baptized of…
