John 6: Never Be Hungry, Never Be Thirsty
When we believe, we receive the “bread of life.”
Jesus said to them, “For the bread of God is the bread that comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.” Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. Very truly I tell you, the one who believes has eternal life. I am the bread of life.”
All too often, we find ourselves wanting more. We want more money, more clout, more technology. And what this want for more tells us about our condition here on earth is that we are hungry. We are hungry for something, but we cannot always put our finger on it.
Right after college, I got a job with my university. I was making my first “professional” paycheck. Those two years after college I was making more money than I had ever before. And you know what I did with it.
