John 18: Access to Heavenly Truth

Jesus said,” My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders. But now my kingdom is from another place.”

“You are a king, then!” said Pilate.

Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. In fact, the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.”

John 18: 36–37 (NIV)

After I became a Christian, I continued to live in my fraternity while in college. This decision to stay led me to have many conversations about my new found faith. And in several ongoing conversations with a very philosophy minded individual, we would discuss truth.

When I believed, it was as if my eyes were opened to a heavenly truth I had never understood before. And my entire being, spirit, soul, and body, conformed to that truth with little issue.

However, when talking with my intellectual and philosophical friend, I had a hard time explaining why I believed what I believed as truth. Which of course, leaves…
