Jesus Will Come When We Least Expect It

Yet, many of us don’t live like He could be here any minute

What if Jesus came back to earth tomorrow?

Would you be ready for Him? What would you do differently in your life today to prepare for Him tomorrow? How might your life be different if you were expectantly waiting for Jesus to come?

It’s easy to ask these questions. However, it is hard to really answer them. At least for me. Whenever I think about Jesus coming again, it makes me sweat a little. I start asking those questions.

When I am honest with myself, I realize that I am not ready for Jesus to come. If He were to come tomorrow I realize that I have some things in my life I haven’t really dealt with very well.

Part of me feels like it wouldn’t matter, which may be true. Another part of me knows it does. When we read through the Gospel of Matthew, we come across chapter 24 and this verse in particular:

“You also must be ready all the time, for the Son of Man will come when least expected.” (Matthew 24:44, NLT)
