Jesus is Coming Back!
Mark 12:34–37
“The coming of the Son of Man can be illustrated by the story of a man going on a long trip. When he left home, he gave each of his slaves instructions about the work they were to do, and he told the gatekeeper to watch for his return. You, too, must keep watch! For you don’t know when the master of the household will return — in the evening, at midnight, before dawn, or at daybreak. Don’t let him find you sleeping when he arrives without warning. I say to you what I say to everyone: Watch for him!” — Mark 13:34–37
Do you live like Jesus might come back tomorrow? I know that isn’t true of me most days. And for many Christians, the idea of Jesus coming back seems pretty far out there.
After all, he hasn't physically come back to the earth in his full glory in over 2,000 years. So, what are we supposed to do with a passage like this one?
Most Christians will read this and go one of two roads. They pray constantly for Jesus to come and live life in a kind of weird prepping sort of way. Or they read over it and continue on like they never read it.
However, after coming back to this verse time and again, I wonder if there is a different way that Jesus returns to the earth outside of his grand triumphant return?
