I Took The Day Off

And so should you!

Sometimes we need to take a break.

This morning I got up and decided not to publish anything. I did work on several different pieces for about half an hour.

But, I committed to keep from publishing.

Then I went back to sleep on the couch and slept until 7am, at which time my children woke me up.

It was nice to do something different.

The result: an over flow of ideas which came flowing out all day long. I added nearly 20 new ideas to my idea bucket. And will have plenty of drafts to work on over the next few days.

It was worth it.

It was also nice because I got more sleep that I desperately need with a 2-month-old.

Take care of yourself writers!

What do you do to get rest from writing and life?
