I did this for years, but the problem is this:

”Why sign up for an email list that is going just send me something I already read on Medium?”

This creates exclusivity to your email list. And, I get better views on Substack anymore than I do on Medium and I have thousands of followers here compared to my couple hundred Substack subs.
