“The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person doing it.” — Chinese Proverb

We all have people who want to kill our dreams in our lives. It’s an unfortunate fact to living in the world we live in today. Not everyone will believe that you can accomplish what you set out to do.

I have seen it over and over again in my life.

I remember when I was raising financial support for my salary, benefits, and other expenses when I started working for a non-profit faith-based organization. Essentially, I was working for a missionary organization.

How it worked was that I would go meet with people, share the vision of what I was doing, and ask them to become monthly supporters. Their donations would help build up my staff account. But it was essential to being able to start doing my job, being fully supported.

I would make hundreds of phone calls, meet with about a third of the people I got ahold of, and about a third of those folks might support.

Along the way, I had terrible support meetings.
