Three keys to my self-publishing success
It is every self-publishing author’s dream to ship tons of books. Most self-published books don’t send more than 250 copies in their lifetime. That was true for my first book.
248 Copies after Two and a Half Years
From the date I published my first book, Productivity Success, to the time I relaunched it, I sold 248 copies. Most of those happened in the first month. The rest sold over two years.
2,412 Copies after Six Months
In 2021, I launched my third book to the tune of 2,000 books in the first month. Over the last five, I have had 412 sales and counting since then.
What made the difference?
Three things made the difference in how these books have done:
- Keywords/Categories
- Book Covers
- Promotion
I have learned that hitting the right keywords, categories, book cover, and promotion will make a book move. And that’s it.
