While I had Covid for nearly two weeks, I started reflecting on my life. First, off, I want to say something about this. My experience with Covid was like my experience of having Influenza A. It was pretty rough for a few days, but overall, it wasn’t all that bad.

Yet, the fear and uncertainty that is attached to Covid forced me to think about the way I have been living my life. I am a very intentional person, to begin with. After all, I have annual goals and life plans. But, there was a new level of reflection for me.

First, I started looking at things I did every day and asked:

Do these things really matter?

The things I questioned were everything from work, the chores I did, and how I interact and spend my time with my family. I found myself realizing there are a lot of things that are pretty worthless. They weren’t building into me or my family.

And, I found there were things that had gone missing over the last year that was very, very important for me and my family. Things I needed to bring back. Some of these things change the way I see the world, others simply made me a better person.
