Recently, I jumped into a little known book of the Bible, the Book of Jude. Why did I feel like reading this book of the Bible? I’m not sure, perhaps the Holy Spirit wanted me to learn something new, or perhaps I just needed to learn something important from this book.

Nevertheless, I went in and read this small letter from Jude, the brother of Jesus. And what I found was very interesting for my life and might be encouraging for yours.

Today, I want to share a few things I learned from this book of the Bible.

Background: A Few Things About This Book

It is always important to understand a little about a book of the Bible when you read it. I have found that a good study Bible can help provide enough background on any book.

I suggest the NIV Study Bible or the ESV Study Bible. These are by far the best that I have used time and again.

Anyway, here are some of the basics of this book:

  • Author: Jude, Brother of Jesus
  • Date: Mid-60’s AD
  • Theme: Contend for the faith and resist false teachings.
