Experiencing Jesus through Deliverance
Mark 7:29–30
“Good answer!” he said. “Now go home, for the demon has left your daughter.” And when she arrived home, she found her little girl lying quietly in bed, and the demon was gone. — Mark 7:29–30
While there are many ways to experience Jesus, I believe one of the greatest is when we experience him through deliverance. This is when he delivers those who are trapped in bondage, suffering, and oppression by evil spirits.
I met a man years ago who had a wild story. From the age of fifteen, he had been a drug addict. His addiction led him to robbery, theft, and a host of other legal issues. He committed many crimes in an effort to pay for his drug habit.
One day, he approached a man in a suit and tie at a grocery store and grabbed him by the arm and pointed a gun in this man’s back asking for the man’s wallet.
The man calmly turned around and looked him in the eyes and said, “I love you and I want you to meet someone who will help you get free of your problems. After that, you can have my wallet.”
