“They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen.” — Romans 1:25 (NLT)
It is easy for Christians to pass judgment on people. After all, when we read this portion of the Book of Romans those who are legalistic or overly proud lift themselves up against those who do not believe.
Yet, this section of scripture isn’t meant to point out that something more. In fact, it starts out with the reason we discuss all the topics of this particular passage.
“But God shows his anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who suppress the truth by their wickedness.” — Romans 1:18 (NLT)
In the previous section, God shares the Good News and the truth of how it applies to our lives. Yet, he needs to remind the church of Rome that not all people believe the truth, even if they know a little about God.
