March 2020 the world came screaming to a halt. Fear swept the globe. Countries shutdown. People started barricading themselves in their homes. And we just didn’t k ow what to do or what to believe.

Fast forward to January 2022. The text came in after my first ever Covid test and I was positive. I made it nearly two years without Covid. During this time I have still met with people in their homes. I haven’t been vaccinated. And I don’t always wear a mask out.

Yes, I understand this probably makes some people very angry. But, we have taken precautions and I am thinking of those places and people who are at higher risk or deeply concerned.

What I have learned over the last two years and from my two weeks of sickness is that Covid is more than a virus. It is. Let’s just put it on the table for a moment. And here’s what I mean.

  1. Covid is followed by a spirit of death. My father told me we were lucky that we didn’t have worse symptoms because we weren’t vaccinated. Yet, many vaccinated people we know who are getting Covid anyway have worse symptoms than us. People expect a narrative of death wherever Covid goes. But, that narrative is not true more than 90% of the time.
