It isn’t enough to live life with child-like faith.

I used to think it was okay to simply believe in Jesus, do the things that a Christian should do, and leave it at that. I never wanted to debate with people about my faith. And I surely didn’t want to offend anyone.

So, I would hang my hat of spiritual immaturity on the Bible verses about having child-like faith. But doing this was an abuse of scripture because I was believing that I didn’t need to know much more.

The problem is that kind of thinking creates a lame and boring faith.

In fact, this kind of thinking led me to believe a lie about who I am which led to a lot of other problems in my faith. In the end, I had to do some major work for myself to get to the other side of boring, lame, and lifeless faith.

After that, I needed to debunk my poor beliefs about the verses pertaining to having a child-like faith. Once I started to see them differently I thought it would be good to share what I have learned.
