Big Change for Us As Writers on Medium

Medium is making a big change to MPP!

I’m not one to typically to get into the hype of Medium changes. And yet, these have me excited!

After reading the outbreak of excitement and concern in the numerous Facebook groups, I felt very encouraged after reading Shaunta Grimes post about the changes.

Overall, I see a lot of positives to this change.

First, we know what matters now. The key to our MPP success will be reading time. And so, we will need to make the things that get readers reading matter.

• Focus on attention grabbing headlines.
• Create awesome hooks.
• And tell great stories that draw your reader down the page!

Second, we will be able to learn more about what works best for our MPP success. With stats to give us insight into what works, we can focus on those useful tactics.

Third, updating everyday will produce a desire to post every day. Which will help us get better and create more awesome content.
