Believing in the Healing Power of Jesus

She had heard about Jesus, so she came up behind him through the crowd and touched his robe. For she thought to herself, “If I can just touch his robe, I will be healed.” Immediately the bleeding stopped, and she could feel in her body that she had been healed of her terrible condition. — Mark 5:27–29

One of the ways we experience Jesus is through our level of belief. It’s in what we believe about him that we experience him. If we don’t have a deep belief, we don’t tend to experience him as often.

However, when we believe he is the Son of God and that he is Lord and Savior something begins to change. It creates in us a deeper belief than we previously have known.

What’s more, we begin to seek after more opportunities to experience him and believe in the things we have read about him. For example, when I was in college, I understood the Savior part about Jesus.

He died on the cross and was resurrected so that we could be forgiven of our sins and have eternal life. This belief was foundational for me and it was an easy connection for me.

However, understanding that he was Lord, that he rules over the earth and I should see him in that manner for my life had been more…
