Dreams are never where we are presently and they are certainly not behind us. Our dreams are only out in front of us. If we are to achieve what we so deeply long for we must take each step in front of us. Instead of wait where we are now and hope they simply happen to us.
Are you still waiting for your dreams to come true?
Four people sat around a circular table eating their dinner. As chatter and banter came to a close, a question is posed:
If you weren’t doing this job, what would you be doing?
Eyes glazed over for a moment’s thought, they dove deep into their own thoughts. To find the answer, they may not have pondered in recent weeks or months.
“I’d be a teacher. I’d much rather be a teacher than this job,” answers the first.
“I’d be home with my kids over this job,” answered another.
“Maybe I would be working with my hands, you know, building something,” pondered the youngest man at the table.
Eyes turned toward the one who proposed the ludicrous question. He was sitting there smiling and thinking of lofty places where his dreams dwell. And as he began to speak, something would change in him.
