If you ask most rich people what they work for, they’ll tell you it’s for assets. … Very simply, the rich don’t work for money, they make money work for them. Working to add more assets is much different than working for a paycheck. — Robert Kiyosaki, Rich Dad Poor Dad

I need to quit my job. I’m just a cog in a really big machine. If I weren’t there, they’d find another cog and they would move on without me. So, after reading Robert Kiyosaki’s Rich Dad Poor Dad, I started a journey toward investing my way out of my day job.

I’m tired of working for paychecks that don’t even keep up with inflation. This last year, I got a ‘promotion’ with a raise that didn’t keep up with normal inflation let alone the crazy kind we are seeing now.

So, it was time to make a change…

This publication is about the journey from working my day job to learning how to make money work for me through investing. Because I can’t keep working this soul-sucking day job.

Now, this isn’t about the FIRE movement or the Great Resignation. It’s about the example I want to set for my children and the life I want to lead. I want one where I spend the most important kind of wealth: time.
