A Tale of Money: The Need and Abundance Rollercoaster

There was a man who grew up with modest means. He knew his family worked hard to give their children what they could and tried to keep the stresses of their financial situation from them. They put in the hours and simply wanted what was best.

As this man had grown up from childhood he was very confused about money.

At some point in his childhood, he discovered the financial hardship of his family and begin to fear how money can give and take so much from people. It was a necessary means to living, but it was an evil one nevertheless.

However, instead of learning to control and maintain a financial life he avoided it.

He would go from times of extreme need to extreme abundance and then back down to the need. He was not responsible for the money he earned in his early years at all. And as a result, he continued a life of avoidance.

Then he married and started building a family.

And this only multiplied his fear of money. His family would continue the patters of need and abundance and now that he was responsible for the lives of other little human beings he wanted to do the same thing his parents had done.

He didn’t want his kids to know they had nothing. Or that they had plenty. He wanted them to feel…
