One thing we forget so often is that we need to lift up the name of God in our prayers. Have you ever noticed why the Psalms include so much praise?
After all, King David was running from King Saul for a good portion of his life. During this time, he wrote many Psalms that praised God, even when things were hard.
Praise is an essential part of breakthrough.
If we can’t or won’t lift up God’s name in the times we need breakthrough, it won’t happen. Praise is an example of how much we believe and trust in God. Without it, we are being transactional in our prayers.
However, when we lift up God’s name in praise, not just think him, we can see huge changes. Praise is about acknowledging who God is and that he is greater than what we are experiencing.
