I keep these close to me at all times
This year has been a lot more difficult than I thought it would be.
While I had a lot of hope and encouragement going into this year, I have also been really bogged down. It seems like every time I find a little encouragement something else comes up that knocks me back down.
Recently, I have been finding it hard to be encouraged about the state of our nation here in the United States. While there was so much hope for a new president, we are finding out that it doesn’t really matter who the president is for our hope.
I’m also finding work a lot more difficult in this season of life. While I am extremely thankful for my job, it provides for my family and allows me to write on the side. There are a lot of good things to it, but it also feels very meaningless for me.
Nevertheless, I know that my feelings are telling me something, but they should not be directing the way I act. As such, they are telling me something is wrong, but the way I act should be based on what I know to be true.
