More people need extended time away from work.

Whether it is a sabbatical or an extended vacation, we all could use time like this. It would be good for our entire being to take a break from ‘reality.’

Over the past 12 weeks, I have been off work on the Family Medical Leave Act here in Washington. I was able to take this time since my sweet third daughter, Daphne Moselle, was born.

During this time, I have enjoyed bonding with my sweet girl as well as my older daughters.

We have had a lot of diaper changes, tea parties, baked goods, and naps. And t really has reminded me of a few really important things in life.

First off, this was a spectacular time of growing more closely with my wife and daughters. I truly think that if extended time off is offered to a father, they should take it!
