Today will be a day I need a little inspiration. Like most people, I am feeling a lack of motivation and inspiration about my day job. And at the moment, just about everything else.

And yet, lack of motivation and inspiration is an excuse to not sit down and do what we need to do or do what we want to do. In all reality, we have all the motivation and inspiration we need at our fingertips.

This morning, I was reminded of this, and decided I would jumpstart my productivity this morning with searching for some great quotes to get my butt in gear (as my grandfather would say).

10 Productivity Quotes

1/ Stop Thinking, Start Doing

“If you spend too much time thinking about a thing, you’ll never get it done.” — Bruce Lee

I find myself thinking to much about all the tasks ahead. And when this happens, I start to get overwhelmed by all the work to do. However, we need to start doing our work and think about what we need to do along the way.

2/ Making Progress

“If you’re walking down the right path and you’re willing to keep walking, eventually you’ll make progress.” — President Barack Obama

When I find myself struggling through work, or trying to get caught up, I remember this quote. We need to keep going in the face of adversity, and once on the other side, we see how far we have come.

3/ Get Started

“The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.” — Walt Disney

While Bruce Lee’s quote is about doing and not thinking, Walt’s reminds me to just start the tasks I don’t want to do. If I start and stop talking through my plan to accomplish the task, I start getting somewhere with it.

4/ You Are In Control
